The main point of getting sheep was to be able to spin and use the wool. I decided to learn to spin now on store-bought roving so that it’s one less thing I need to learn to do later on.
The grey yarn is made from fine Shetland wool roving and the colorful yarn is from Malabrigo, one of my favorite brands for already spun yarn, a roving in Hojas.
Since my sheep are already so colorful, I’ve been debating whether or not I’ll dye the roving. On one hand, colorful yarn is nice. On the other hand, I can easily spin the roving from my sheep with an already dyed yarn for a unique result. We’ll see…
